January 15th 2021 - Ax...

Yesterday Ax gave me a hug.

In her words - "My last hug as a child!"

Today "Mi chiquita linda" turned 18th.

A milestone in so many ways for her and us.

A juxtaposition of traits in her personality that bridges her world between what the words sound and what they mean.

A deep sense of commitment to the world and the humanity in all; an empathy that sometimes breaks her apart; an easiness to get lost in a world beyond reach or a need to gather as much information as possible in this one; a need to explore and learn with new eyes, or stay in a marked path and plough ahead without stopping.

A need to jump (although sometimes a push is required) into a world that is open and closed to her at the same time, frightening and exciting.

With a laugh, some rough edges, a cat at her side and a good heart, she will take it.

For me, it has always been the opportunity to know you can love someone unconditionally at first sight.

As every year we say - Happy birthday, may you live long and prosper Mi Chiquita Linda.
