BAT’s Family Birthday - Mariana, Pablo, Ax, Lo, Luna, Lyra, Oreo and Licorice.
On February 20th, we celebrate our family’s birthday. We been a family for 22 years. I was asked by someone how that makes me feel. It was a funny question. It is something I didn’t had what was the expected or immediate answer.
Being with Mariana is something that feels as nature, it is being home. It is myself. It is our family. I think the closest word to describe it is Gestalt.
You need to take care of each part of the whole, and I am grateful to Mariana for the love and constant care she puts on each one of us. Each part is very different, it is always fascinating to see where we go and grow, and still it felt strange or silly to be asked as a separate entity.
I think my answer is a composition of the ones when you ask me how am I doing.
I am in a good place.
I am doing well.
I am grateful.
I am at peace.
I am worried.
I am been embraced.
I am laughing.
I am crying.
(I got a hug without asking).
I feel well (I just got a hug).
I feel safe.
I just learned something.
I feel loved.
Being a family means making those start with “we”.
We are 22 years old today.
